International Institutional Law

The special lecture categorised the two divisions of International law – Public and Private International law defining and distinguishing both. The lecture dealt with a discussion on basic and introductory aspects of Public International law with reference to International Institutional law. The basic introduction narrowed in on the origin of United Nations Organisation in a detailed manner while discussing the comparative aspects with the League of Nations, the predecessor of United Nations alongside a brief account on the events that led to the formation of both the International organisations.

The cases discussed in the lecture include the Reparations for the Injuries suffered in the Service of the United Nations Case, the Nicaragua Case, etc. The lecture came to end with an interaction with the students on International Organisations, contemporary global affairs, etc.
