International Conference on “Behavioural Approaches to Financial Decision Making”

Department of Management Studies, Saveetha School of Law organized an International Conference on “Behavioural Approaches to Financial Decision Making” on 21st March, 2023. Inaugural Ceremony started with Tamizh Thai Vaazhthu followed by welcome address by Dr. Sreeya B, the session was inaugurated by Mr. K. P. Sai Vikkram, Founder, The Katalyst, Thirukural 365, Elixir Fincorp. and Elixir Energies, Chennai. The first session was addressed by keynote speaker Mr. David Gaines, Talent Manager, TEEMA, Washington DC, United States of America. The speaker shared information about the importance of time in investments and savings. The second session was addressed by Mr. K. P. Sai Vikkram. He gave insights about financial decision making and financial risk behavior, types of financial decision making and how to overcome unsuccessful financial decisions. The third session was addressed by Ms. Snehapriya, Relationship Manager, Abhu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Dubai. She addressed the gathering regarding financial investments, diversification of funds, risk taking behaviors, how to start investing, various financial products available for investing and how to diversify risk. After keynote addresses, the session started with paper presentation. Participants from various colleges such as Indian School of Science and Management, Anna Adarsh College for Women, Sriram Arts and Science College, Sri Kanniga Parameshwari Arts and Science College for Women and Saveetha School of Management presented their paper. It was evaluated by Ms. Aruna A R, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, Best Analytical  Paper was awarded to Ms. Priya and Mr. William Robert for the paper titled “LIC: Investment Alternative for Effective Risk Management” and Best Conceptual Paper Award was given to Ms. Preetha Ganesh and Ms. Nachiammai V for the paper titled “Impact of Customer Relationship Management in E-Business & Financial Services''. Nearly 90 participants participated in the conference. The international conference came to an end with the vote of thanks by Ms. Ranjithaa K C, Research Scholar, Department of Management Studies, Saveetha School of Law.
