The Inauguration of the Intellectual Property (IP) Cell was held on February 13, 2025, at Laser Court, Saveetha School of Law. The event was honoured by Dr. Bijay Kumar Sahu, Senior Regional Manager & Head at the National Research Development Corporation(Outreach) (NRDC), an enterprise under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, as the Chief Guest.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Asha Sundaram, Principal of Saveetha School of Law, followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest. Dr. Sahu then inaugurated the IP Cell logo, marking a significant milestone for the institution.

Dr. Sahu then delivered an inaugural lecture on the integration of Intellectual Property in the legal curriculum and the role of women in IP. The session, which lasted for an hour, was followed by an interactive Q&A session with students and faculty members.

The event took place at Laser Court from 10:00 AM to 11:20 AM, with the participation of 70 students and faculty members.

The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Sanitta Maria, IP Cell Chairperson, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest and all attendees. The program concluded with the National Anthem, marking a successful and memorable event.
