“CURRENT TRENDS OF CRIME AND POLICE INVESTIGATION”

 Mr.Rathinasabapathi (IPS) is the speaker  for the webinar on Current trends of Crime and Police investigation. He is an IPS officer who has served the police force for about 30 years. At present he is working as a professional Chartered Accountant well versed in accounting and financial internal and external auditing and all sorts of taxation consultancy.

The speaker gave detailed aspects of Criminal investigation. He started the webinar by explaining the different departments in police. Then he discussed the primary tools of investigation. He further discussed the methods of interviewing the witnesses, the crime scene investigation, law enforcement observations and custodial interrogation. He also explained his experience in several cases of handing the custodial interrogation. He made the interactions with the students and explained more about the crime scene Analysis and the role of police officers in the crime scene investigation. He cleared all the doubts of the participants regarding police investigation and encouraged the participants to write UPSC exams. The session is important as even laymen end up as victims of crimes so it is necessary for everyone in the society to be aware about the current trends of crime and its follow up in the police investigation. It was an interesting and thoughtful session.
