Community Outreach Programme - Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 initiative
On February 7, 2023, Saveetha School of Law organized a transformative Community Outreach Programme focused on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 initiative. The event took place in Sembarabakkam Village, marking a significant step towards fostering harmony and justice within the community.
The primary objective of the programme was to introduce villagers to the concept of ADR and its potential to resolve conflicts amicably, thereby reducing the burden on the traditional judicial system. Through interactive sessions, and role-playing exercises, participants gained insight into various ADR methods such as mediation, arbitration, and negotiation.
The programme emphasized the importance of empowering communities to resolve disputes peacefully and effectively, thereby promoting social cohesion and strengthening the fabric of society. Saveetha School of Law's faculty members and students played pivotal roles in facilitating discussions, sharing knowledge, and providing practical guidance to villagers.
