The speaker firstly defined and explained about Bribery. Then, she mentioned about section 7 of the prevention of corruption act which is related to bribery. She clearly explained about the investigation by the police officer and then the various proceedings conducted after the police received the complaint of bribery. She also explained about the trap proceedings and then also about the recovery mahazar which is created during the trap proceedings. At last she concluded by explaining about the various impacts of bribery on the society and the impacts on the economy of the society.
This topic holds high importance as nowadays bribery is the one which erodes the trust we have in the public sector to act in our best interests. And the bribery also affects the economic development in terms of economic efficiency and growth, it also affects equitable distribution of resources across the population. So the society should be aware about the bribe happening in the public sector.
