Special lecture on the topic "Investment Planning" was organized by Ms. Aruna A. R for the Financial Management (NC1551) on 19th March,2022. The resource person of the session was Mr. Nirmal Kumar, Senior Software engineer, Norton LifeLock Software Services India Pvt Ltd, Chennai The lecture began with the introduction of basic financial concepts and important terms like investment, saving, compound interest, simple interest, equity, debt etc. He also briefed upon various financial investment avenues such as capital market, real estates, company deposits, Bank deposits, Gold, Mutual funds etc and also enlightened the audience on the Bitcoin market, insurance sector and reiterated the important points in investment with respect to today’s economic scenario. He cleared some myths related to financial investments. Students raised several queries about investment plans for students, for how long to invest, what is the right time to invest, about the minimum amount one can invest etc. The overall session was very informative and interactive as the speaker cleared many doubts
