A webinar on ‘First Information Report: An Overview and Analysis’ was held on 21st January, 2021. The resource person was Mr.V.M.Elangovan, a retired Additional Superintendent of Police. The session focused on FIR practices being followed particularly in Chennai. He highlighted the importance of FIR and its evidentiary value. He also discussed when an FIR will be filed and when not. Further, he outlined the format of an FIR and also read out samples. The session was very interactive and informative.
